Description:

The Christ of the Deep stands about 9ft tall and is made of bronze. This statue sits on the bottom of the sea floor. The Christ of the Deep is an inspiring sculpture that greets divers off of the Florida Keys. There are two other Christ statues that stand underwater, the first was the original and that stands in the Mediterranean Sea at San Fruttuoso Bay. The other stands in George's Harbor in Grenada. The sculpture is also known as Christ of the Abyss. Here I painted a scene of the inspiring statue and some ocean life that would be visiting the sculpture. Island Art By Island Artist DePaula.
